Kelly contacted JMF Disco yesterday, trying to book a great mobile disco for her party, she had been let down by her venue, that she had booked for her 30th birthday party some time ago.
The venue was also supplying the mobile DJ, and is faced with looking around for a new venue and mobile disk jockey, to ensure she can still have a wonderful party with her family and friends.
Kelly decided to have a look at what Lullingstone Golf Club can offer, after being let down by the other venue.
It is unusual for clients to be let down by venues like this, although we do get several enquiries a year like this, usually because the venue has ‘double booked’ – how this can happen in well run business I do not know, but it does happen.
Whenever you book a venue or service provider of any type you should always get things confirmed in writing, so that you know the terms and conditions that you have agreed with them.
Within the terms and conditions there should be a clause that sets out what happens if you or the venue or service supplier cancels, in particular what happens to any deposit that has been paid, or what fees may become due.
Luckily at JMF Disco we have the resources to help out such clients as Kelly at short notice, and have backup plans in place to ensure that no matter what happens, you and your guests will have a great nights entertainment with a good experienced DJ – it is something many other ‘DJs’ cannot provide – and many clients do not think about until it is too late!!
