Mobile Disco Ramsgate | Ramsgate Small Boat Owners Club Disco – Mark’s 50th Birthday

Mobile Disco Ramsgate services provided by JMF Disco were privileged to be chosen by Kate, Mark’s partner, to perform at his 50th birthday celebration at the Ramsgate Small Boat Owners Club.

This is an ideally sized venue for a more intimate party, with a well stocked bar in the function room (Party Tip: it’s always a good idea to look for a venue with the bar in the same room as the dancing!)  and a small stage for setting the disco up on – a bit too small for me to be able to use speaker stands next to the DJ booth, but they are not really required as it is a relatively small room with a raised stage.

Loading into the venue is not ideal, it’s a case of parking in front of the building blocking the single carriageway road to other traffic (although it is not busy as it is a residential road) and unloading as quickly as possible – many thanks to Kate and Mark’s helpers on the night who helped with this. Then it’s off to park up in a local pay car park a few minutes walk away – max stay here is 4 hours so you might have to pump the meter part way through the gig!

There is a dreaded sound limiter in use in the venue, but it is set to a reasonable level for the size of the room – not ideal but workable!
